As a monthly feature Eiryukan will be introducing a dojo in the U.K which studies Yoshinkan Aikido. This month we will take a look at the Nottingham based Shoshinkan, Chief Instructor Andy Hobday. Shoshinkan was founded in May 2005 and has grown to be a very successful and positive place to study Aikido. If you visit the website you will be able to find very comprehensive yet reader friendly information on Aikido and its history. Students at Eiryukan have already had the opportunity to study with Sensei Andy and the students at Shoshinkan on several occasions. There has always been a very warm and positive welcome which has left students keen to return on any possible occasion.
The kanji above display the characters Sho (beginner) Shin (mind) and interestingly shin can also be read as heart which the Shoshinkan has in abundance.
